What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The one thing I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to help my students reach their 'ah ha' moment. This is the moment when a student reaches an understanding of what has been taught to them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think the skills that I possess that has helped me become a great tutor is my leadership skills. A student needs a teacher that can guide them through the learning process rather than just talking at them. Additionally, I think one of the most underrated traits as a teacher is humour. Humour can create a learning environment more enjoyable. Lastly, I believe that I am an approachable and respectful person with my ability to build rapport with people quite easily.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Teaching isn't only about being able to explain something really well, but it is also being able to find something relatable so that the students have a relationship with what is being taught. As tutors, we bridge that relationship. Furthermore, tutors need to facilitate student’s curiosity and create an environment where their ideas and opinions are valued.

Testimonials 🏆

My daughter felt comfortable with Joseph from the first lesson. Joseph is polite and fits into the household routine. My daughter feels more confident with maths after only a few sessions. I would recommend Joseph for any young person.
