What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping see young people experience break throughs, figuring out difficult problems that dont nessecarily have a laid out method to solving. I enjoying showing kids how amazing mathematics is, how they can use it to describe the universe.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Im patient, im able to describe and "dumb down" harder concepts to make it easier to explain. I understand what it takes to excel and the type of study required in order to excel at mathematics and science. I know the frustrations of not understanding concepts. I studied specialist maths via distance ed in VCE, virtually teaching myself. So i understand the importance of sticking at it even though it seems impossible, trying different approaches, going over things again, eventually they will click. Im calm and measured and these are things that help when young people are struggling.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Teach a student real understanding. Teaching that there is more to maths or any subject that following the process, while that is helpful and deffinitely effective sometimes, teaching real understanding so whenever you come across different problems, you know the building blocks and therefore can find the answer.
