What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My interest in tutoring initiated when I first started high school. The work load and teaching methods were such a huge difference compared to primary school. In other words, I found it really hard to understand all these 'fancy' words from my teacher, so I read the books by myself. I then explained it again to my peers easily as it follows a chain of thinking from a student perspective without the teacher's assumptions of students knowing these concepts. I enjoy tutoring a lot because I can help students achieving their goals and become a lot more confident about themselves.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my biggest strength as a tutor is delivering and communication. In fact, I might not be the smartest tutor but I am a dedicated individual and a keen learner. This would help me to communicate and interact with the students easily so that they can feel comfortable and not being pressured. My delivering method is drawn from my studying and past tutoring experience with personal studying techniques, because to me it is "study smart, not hard".Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
From my perspective, a tutor is also a teacher as we teach and deliver knowledge to students. Each student sits at a different level, which requires different tutoring method and approaches. Understanding is key in tutoring as adequate assistance would help a student to achieve their best potentials. Secondly, we as tutoring should make students feel more comfortable and confident about the subjects, so that it gains their interest instead of forced studying.
