What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find it extremely rewarding to see students improve and succeed. I know from my own experience the intricate challenges and hardships learning can present. I found that having a relatable mentor was instrumental to translate my learning into meaningful matter .

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I can provide a very approachable, trustworthy and continuous mentorship to students. I am able to quickly formulate a tailored and flexible approach to promote the students learning and development. I have a strong scientific academic background and several years experience working within a range of different scientific roles. More specifically, I have a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Biochemistry. Subsequently, I worked several years across a broad range of roles in the pharmaceutical industry. In my current role, I formulate intellectual property documents relating to ground breaking scientific inventions so I am always up to date with the latest discoveries and technology. For those STEM students aspiring to build a scientific career, I can assist with developing a scientific foundation and mindset. Further, I have credentials in editing and proofreading, where I work as a casual freelancer editing documents for style, tone, consistency, etc. These are skills I can share with English students to assist with improving their writing. Most importantly, I have former experience as a tutor. I have many years experience hosting tutorials and practical classes for university students in biology. I also have experience with one-on-one tutoring secondary school students in math, chemistry, biology and essay/report writing.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing I can do for a student is provide the student with confidence and real time feedback. I compose myself in a approachable and transparent manner. Based on my former experience as a tutor, I have found students warm to me and form a sense of pride having me as their tutor.
