What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to see a student grow, not only academically, but gain confidence as they learn more skills. Being able to see a student smile because they have achieved one of their goals, or understand more content is very rewarding to a tutor, as it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Being a tutor also helps me grow as a teacher, as I am able to see what skills I need to improve and what areas of weaknesses need development.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my leadership experience as a captain will help me as a tutor. It has helped me to possess strong communication skills, and thus, I am able to effectively communicate with my students if they have any queries. I have developed strong organisational and time management skills, due to my busy schedule in Year 12. I have also tutored students before, and this experience has allowed me improve my communication and tutoring skills.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to be able to communicate with them and understand them. By doing this, a tutor will be able to get to know a student, and understand their learning styles and habits, which will help them in how to teach that student to achieve the best results. Of course, in group tutorings, this may be hard to do, but as long as a tutor is able to allow students to learn in a comfortable environment that is engaging, students will be able to learn more, and achieve better results, which will help them gain confidence as they grow.
