What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The part of tutoring that I enjoy most is interacting with my students. I find it incredibly rewarding to help them through their studies and see their development throughout the year. It's great to share in their joy as they improve their confidence and grades.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my main strength is that I am patient. I take the time to work with my students and make sure they fully understand concepts. I also put great effort and commitment into working with each student to ensure they achieve the best possible result - I prepare practise questions, can help with proof-reading drafts and strive to tailor my lessons to suit each individual student and their needs.
I consider myself to be very approachable and ensure that my students are confident and comfortable during lessons.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can be is patient and supportive. As tutors, we have already completed these subjects, and so we know the 'pressure points' and ways to deal with them. It is our job to pass on this knowledge and help others. If someone is receiving tutoring, most often they are struggling with one or more parts of a topic - I believe it is vital to encourage the student and work with them so they gain confidence.
Of course it is also vital to be knowledgeable about the topics you are tutoring, and to show passion and enthusiasm for what you are teaching.
