What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring provides an opportunity to give back to fellow students by sharing knowledge and learn from each other, as learning goes both ways. I love helping people solve problems, whether it be a simple math problem or a challenging issue. I love helping young students reach their potential, and I feel fulfilled if they are happy and confident to tackle challenges on their own. Even if it is just an hour a week, I want to promote the joys of learning and problem-solving.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am a good listener. I listen to their issues, or concepts they find difficult, or frustrating. By listening, I am able to understand the core issues and explain the concepts. I am also passionate about teaching and will try no matter how many times to make sure the students leave understanding the concept thoroughly.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

- Be patient - To not get annoyed if a student doesn't get it but always be there to support them. - Be flexible - Be ready to change teaching methods to meet the learning style of the student. - Be a good listener - Listen to their difficulties, in order to help them overcome it. - Be open - A tutor should be honest with their student and be willing to open up about our personal experiences if a student asks about them. - Be confident - A tutor should be confident to explain concepts, otherwise be confident to admit if they don't know. Confidence can also spread.
