I think that I have a good amount of patience and that I can keep a positive environment. I feel that I am good at explaining things by breaking them down and using analogies. As a weakness, I think on certain occasions I tend to explain something too much instead of keeping it short and simple, which can lead to further confusion. I feel one of the, if not the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is establish a sense of belief. If a student doesn't believe in their own ability and lacks confidence, then it is much harder for them to learn and more importantly it isn't enjoyable and rewarding.
