What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Being able to impart knowledge and assist students with their academic journey. Watching a student improve and grow is one of the greatest joys of a tutor. Also showing dedication and support towards the student is a very important aspect.
(Note for subjects: I can tutor in English, Maths, Biology and Science. For some reason, I could not select them without including physics and chemistry).
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am very approachable and patient; I am willing to explain any problem multiple times or in various ways until my student has fully grasped the concept. I believe that I can create a positive and safe environment, one where the student would feel comfortable to ask questions and try their best. Another important strength is the ability to admit when I am wrong or unfamiliar with a topic. In such cases, I would show determination and dedication in learning the necessary knowledge to better explain the topic during the next session, as tutors and teachers are always learning too.
Most important things I can do for a student π
- Showing the student that it is okay to make mistakes because through mistakes, we learn how to perceive and push ourselves to achieve our absolute best
- Providing a safe environment where the student can grow both academically and personally
- Being a reliable individual and providing support during their academic journey
- Showing the beauty of learning and the importance of such knowledge in everyday lives, as the link between school and life is often lost or unappreciated
- Being that person who goes above and beyond in supporting and assisting their student with achieving their goals
