What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Tutoring is a rewarding two-way relationship that I enjoy because it makes me feel accomplished. I love having the ability to pass on knowledge and my own methods of approaching content to students and henceforth watching them improve and aim higher and higher.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I would say my three greatest strengths are being dedicated, understanding and organised. I feel as though my sense of dedication will allow me to be a great tutor as I will be at my best through the whole school term. Further, I am by nature a very organised person and like to schedule things and live by routine- making me a dependable tutor. That is not to say I am not understanding when I need to be- I am patient and a good listener, which will allow me to pinpoint new ways of students' improvement.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe a tutor should be fully committed to each students' improvement and in doing so, also act as a mentor to meaningfully guide students. One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is listen so as to understand any shortcomings in their approach to the content being taught. Any tutor can teach the content, but the most impactful ones will try and improve the way in which this is done to make sure each student can constantly improve. Building a respectful relationship with students is also very important as this will create a positive working environment for growth.
