My Strengths as Tutor 💪

When considering my strengths and weaknesses as a tutor there are a variety of areas that I would consider. As a tutor I believe I am knowledgable within the mathematical area and obtain a friendly and easy going persona. I am a very caring and supportive individual. I obtain a very extensive background of mathematical exposure and education and have effective teaching strategies and methods to assist in students learning. When considering weaknesses that I obtain, I would consider extensive mathematics at a year 12 level as my confidence and previous exposure is very minimal.

When tutoring a student it is important to create a safe and stress-free environment where the student feels comfortable and confident to ask questions and know that help is always there no matter what. Establishing effective relationships and rapport is a crucial element for the student and tutor to create to ensure all possible learning is being obtained and effective communication is utilised to support the learning process. There are numerous aspects that are important to creating effective tutoring situations and it is essential to acknowledge the differences in learning styles.
