What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring younger children and assisting them to achieve their personal and academic goals. I have found from previous experience that assisting children to meet their academic goals will assist them to gain confidence in their personal and social life as well. I also enjoy interacting with children and assisting them to build transferrable skills for both learning and studying but skills that will also assist them later on in life - throughout the rest of their high school years, but also later throughout university and working.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I have excellent communications skills - due to my experience working as a customer service representative at Services Australia (Centrelink), this allows me to connect not only with customers but also with colleagues. I also have excellent time-management skills, due to previously working three days every week, while completing full-time university. This has allowed me to perfect my time management skills, while still performing to the best of my ability.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for students is to guide and assist them to complete assignments and homework rather than completing it for them. This will not only allow them to ask questions and gain a basic understanding of how to do a task, but it will also allow them to successfully complete a similar task without needing assistance in the future. I also believe that it is important for a tutor to demonstrate confidentiality between students. This will allow the student to feel supported and not embarrassed to be needing extra help in a certain subject or area.
