What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

For me, it has always been exciting to be able to pass my knowledge to younger students as I believe that it not only helps me reaffirm my knowledge on basic concepts, which are the bases for higher-level maths, but it also makes me proud when my students achieve their goals. I had a private tutor through high school that I look up to, and in some way, he is the reason why I am studying engineering. He inspired me to start teaching and would like to have students look up to me like I do to him.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Being a third-year mechanical engineering student, I am very confident about my skills in maths and physics and my ability to learn fast. As a tutor, it is not enough to have knowledge but be able to pass it on to the students, and I believe this where one of my strengths lies. I can explain the same concept in many different ways, which gives me the ability to reach different students that have distinct ways of learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to teach them how to enjoy learning. In the bottom line, every student must learn the subject to be able to achieve their goal; it can be to simply pass the subject or score above 90%. Because of them having to do the subject anyways, it is important to show them that learning is not necessarily boring, but something that they can look forward to doing, and in this way, they can achieve better results. Especially with subjects like maths and physics that are tough for some students.
