What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing students continue to progress and develop the skills I have taught them. This is what makes it a highly rewarding job, in my opinion. In my past experience as a mentor at my old school, I have developed very strong and positive relationships with the students I tutored. This reinforced the idea that I am able to make a positive impact on a student's approach to learning and overcoming challenges.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am very encouraging and easy to talk to. These qualities form the foundation of one of my main goals as a tutor, which is to ensure that the student enjoys the lesson, feels accomplished, and grows in confidence. Further, I am able to make students feel more comfortable, especially when asking a question they deem to be 'dumb' (though there is no such thing). Likewise, I understand that certain concepts can be difficult to grasp, so I am also very calm and patient. I know how to break down even the most abstract concepts to form a more comprehensible explanation.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A good tutor should help their student develop a love for what they are learning. When this is done successfully, this has a knock-on effect on the student's results as they are more engaged with the content they are learning. This starts with the tutor being passionate about the content they are teaching and being determined to push the student to reach their full potential. I was lucky enough to enjoy every one of my subjects in Years 11 and 12, and I aim to translate this passion for learning into my teaching.

Testimonials 🏆
