The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is witnessing the students have their “breakthrough momentsâ€. Seeing a students face light up when they finally understand something they have been struggling with for a long time is truly unbeatable.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have always had a passion for teaching and have been told it is something I am good at. I think my strengths branch from my kind, considerate and bubbly personality. I am able to be patient and understanding when a student is struggling with a topic. I am able to adapt my teaching strategies so that they can have a different way of understanding the topic or seeing the solution. Whether that means I have to draw pictures, get the student up and moving or simply talking through the problem/topic until they understand.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for their students is to be patient and understanding while the child is trying their best to understand the subject. Cara is still struggling a little with remembering her times tables, especially when it comes to the bigger numbers. However, this will just improve with repetition so it’s not a huge worry.
Cara was struggling to stay motivated a little as she said she had a big day at school, but we still got all the work done despite this which was good.

There wasn’t really anything I could see that needed improvement. However if I had to be picky, I would just say we need to work on remembering our times tables so that they become second nature.

With the added confidence Cara has made she is flying through sums and forgets to check her work to make sure each section of the equation was completed correctly. She just needs to remember to double check her work for any little mistakes.

Volume can get a bit tricky as there is a lot of multiplication involved, but as long as Cara remembers that she can do working out on the side, she is fine.
