I enjoy the ability to provide students with the confidence to excel in their studies, especially when they are students who do not see themselves as confident. For me, it is rewarding to see students equipped with the tools to succeed and to observe students as they have their "eureka" moments.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths as a tutor involve my ability to: -break knowledge down to a level that is useful to the student. -teach according to that which is required for students to know (examinable understandings, skills and applications) rather than just teaching what I think is fun or easy to teach. -equipping students to understand rather than just memorise in order for knowledge to come easily to them. -being warm and relatable to the student to allow them to be comfortable as they learn while also drawing boundaries in order for mutual respect and to facilitate a productive learning environment,Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is: -prepare and plan ahead in order to be a useful resource to the student. -try to the student's abilities, strengths and limitations in order to refine their strengths as well as address and facilitate for their limitations to encourage academic growth. -aim for students to understand rather than memorise content to increase the likelihood that knowledge is attained and will be remembered. -guide students rather than spoon feed them. -engage with students and be flexible according to individual needs.Subjects Tutored 🎓
