What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the face-to-face contact by meeting with the student, getting to know them and working together on problems and answering any questions they have. I have always had a drive to help students improve in their work. A rewarding element about tutoring that I've noticed is watching the student improve in their studies with the help you've provided them with.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am an efficient and hardworking person who is organised with his work. I am an easy going, patient and a calm individual. I am extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Humanities and Social Sciences subjects, especially if it is History or Modern History and I have a great interest in these subjects.
I also enjoy working and collaborating with students to help them solve any problems they have encountered in their work, rather than lecturing them about the content.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor needs to have a good understanding of the content to help cater to the students' needs. By suggesting or providing different resources (e.g. alternative text books, handouts, video clips or study cards), the student can widen their methods of learning and access to resources. A tutor needs to be a relatable individual, who gets along easily with the student. If the tutor can relate the students interests to the content, the student will be able to apply their own experiences to their content, making their learning and tuition more enjoyable and meaningful to both the student and tutor.
