What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the 'ooh' moment that students experience when they finally understand a concept they were struggling with before. I think this is a rewarding experience and makes me feel proud and happy that I had a part in helping my students learn the thing I enjoy.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe every tutor has to be able to simplify difficult concepts and be able to apply these to real-life situations to increase understanding. I believe that in order to do this, communication skills are essential. I have developed this skill through my tutoring experience where I learnt to ask questions to make sure that the student understands the concept and its application. I believe that every student learn at a different rate and it is crucial to be patient throughout. I improved on this by focusing on the difficult part and stressing more on them.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think being a mentor is one of the most important thing a tutor can do. I believe that to be a good mentor, a tutor should be able to share their own experiences and make the student comfortable. I think it is also crucial to tell students that you also find some concepts hard initially, however, was able to grasp it by putting in the time and effort. I believe this helps the tutor to be more relatable as well as motivates the student to try harder.
