What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I remember when I was being Math tutored and feeling so proud and happy when the concept I was learning finally clicked and I would like to be able to help students feel that same way, as well as helping them to feel like they have understood and done something they once felt like they had no idea how to do.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I have younger siblings who are 16 and 10 and have helped them and tutored them throughout their schooling. I have a very friendly and kind nature and have great patients when someone is struggling. Through being an older brother I think I have learnt these skills and can definitely see myself being a great tutor and teacher because of this.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to make them feel proud and confident with themselves as well as being a supportive teacher. I know from experience that when you're struggling with a concept it is a very disheartening thing and can lead to self doubt and giving up. I think a tutor should help a student work through this and in turn give the student the feeling of accomplishment they thought they may never achieve.
