What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find tutoring so enjoyable and fulfilling because i am able to witness in real time a student's own personal growth and evolution. It truly motivates me to think that i can help student to view their learning as a positive and important experience not just one that is mandatory and boring. Furthermore watching a student transform from resigned and disinterested to passionate and understanding helps to show me the importance of learning in all our lives, in every facet of our being.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths as a tutor stem from my own passion and interest for English itself. I believe that my role as a educator is not just to set tasks and complete certain activities but instead to foster a genuine enthusiasm for the subject at hand. This involves adopting an individualized, highly catered approach to tutoring that aims to address a students specific problems and weaknesses. I believe that this unique approach, paired with my patience, encouragement and understanding can help to create an environment that is more conducive to a students learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that a tutor is not there to chastise and 'drill' concepts into a student's mind. The best thing that a tutor can do for their student is to create a positive, uplifting and supportive learning environment. This ensures that students feel comfortable to learn and improve so that they can approach their mistakes not with self-doubt and a demoralized mindset but instead with resilience and optimism. Furthermore, i believe that tutors play a central role in how students perceive a subject, so it is our job to adopt a game plan that doesn't make students feel overwhelmed and bombarded.
