What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing students understand the concepts that they have been taught, whether it be from being explained in greater detail or through application in questions. As the tutor, it brings me great satisfaction to be push that some students need to truly understand and enjoy maths. Also, while this is not pertaining to maths, I also enjoy seeing the development of a student through the latter years of high school, where their study regiment becomes more defined and their aspirations become more concrete and tangible.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think due to my experience as a mentor to my peers in high school, my tutoring approach is much more relaxed and friendly, which I think is essential for any one-on-one tutoring as it adds an element of approachability. While stress is always inevitable in high school, I believe my approach minimises stress, creating an environment that students can thrive in.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

While helping the student achieve the scores they aim for is the top priority of all students, a tutor should also help the student find a subject enjoyable, spreading on the passion that they have for the subject onto whoever they teach. A tutor should also pass on any advice/wisdom that they have from high school in order to better the experience of their students.
