What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
In all honesty I would say that I enjoy sharing the feeling of discovery and amazement at how beautiful mathematics or learning can be. The moment when someone just gets it, whether it be on the sporting field or class room is something that excites me most about coaching/tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I feel that I can bring a strong mix of enthusiasm and love for the content and teaching as well as a level headed problem solving approach. I have a large amount of problem solving experience working with computers and software which I hope to apply to tutoring. Breaking down seemingly daunting tasks into manageable portions and providing strategies to create memory hooks for the student to apply.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I would consider some of the important things for a tutor to provide to a student are confidence and self belief. Giving a student the self confidence that they can do this will provide them with the tools to continue improving and getting better. I feel that from experience that most people who do not have confidence or belief struggle with a self imposed mental block preventing them from improving. Another important thing I would wish to impart on every student is curiosity for subjects beyond coursework providing another perspective on the topics they are learning.
