What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Studying a law and arts degree, I'm extremely passionate about language, culture and society. However, it was in high school when first became enchanted with these areas of study.
What I enjoy the most about tutoring is giving young students, especially those who might struggle with language, a chance to become comfortable, or even as enchanted with the discipline as I am. I strongly believe that with the right guidance, many children who do not enjoy or struggle to study English might discover their love and passion for the language.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Over the years I have worked with many different students aged 5-18 from different backgrounds and learning abilities. I have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring students as I worked as not only an academic tutor but also mentor for the students I worked with, creating study plans and motivating them with the academic but also personal struggles of school life. This has led me to become patient, empathetic and understanding when dealing with different kinds of students, and coupled with my social and friendly nature I believe these strengths make me a fantastic tutor and study coach for any student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A believe an effective tutor will support a student in a way that will eventually leave them comfortable, confident and prepared enough to no longer need the help of a tutor. However, I understand that this process may be a matter of weeks for some students and a matter of years for others. I think being a good tutor relies upon a variety of skills and strengths that need to be employed together in order to be effective such as being a good listener, empathetic, understanding but also motivating, professional and honest.
