What was great was that Demi was able to sufficiently answer the questions posed to her by myself. She was also able to ask questions for areas that she still was a bit hesitant on. Demi seemed to understand and know her knowledge quite well as well. As it was shorter session and more of a revision session, there is not much more that can be said.

Due to complications with my car, I was unable to really revise with Demi for her SAC as sufficiently as I would have liked to. As a result, I would have liked to go through some SAC questions in order to ensure that she is fully prepared for the SAC ahead. This can be conquered for future lessons.

Demi was amazing today. She was very focused on the topic and was able to answer it rather well considering that she had not covered it yet in class. This was the reason why we focused on it today. What was incredible about today was the fact that Demi was understanding more than the knowledge that I was putting into her mind. It was the fact that she was able to get that knowledge and critically evaluate it to the point that I was surprised. For example, we were discussing some sanctions and their purposes. However, Demi disagreed with me on some of the purposes that I connected with a sanction. With her arguments she was able to debate with me and provide explanations as to why she did not believe that that particular sanction had that particular purpose. This critical evaluation that she was doing was amazing to see. It filled me with hope that she will be able to use this skill that she has acquired in her SAC.

After this lesson, I saw that Demi is now ready to fully tackle different SAC questions in more detail. And this is what we will be covering in our future lessons to fully prepare her for her upcoming SAC. In addition, I will be encouraging more debate between us about the topics being covered. This will not only ensure that the content is used in a way that will help her retain it, but also it will continue to get her to critically evaluate everything that she is being taught. This will hopefully translate onto paper in her SACs and final Exam.

Demi was significantly more focused in today's lesson compared to last week's which was great to see. She was able to understand this topic quite well and retain much of what we learned throughout when I tested her knowledge here and there. She was also able to answer questions with regards to last week's lessons as well which was great considering how unfocused she had been during that lesson.

As stated in last week's comments, it is critical that we continue to motivate Demi to study more independently. I had given her a task to provide me with the strengths and limitations of the Court Hierarchy and its purpose and reason for existing. However, this was not done at all. I completely understand that it may have slipped her mind. Because of this, we should continue to encourage independent study through constant reminders. Furthermore, as Demi's teacher was away for a bit of time, I think it is best for us to understand the knowledge before we delve into the SAC questions. As with the previous couple of lessons before her first SAC, I went through SAC questions each lesson, I think it would be helpful for her to understand the knowledge better with all their complexities before we commence answering questions in great depth.

This topic of the area study was a little bit harder for Demi to understand and grasp fully as there are many complexities associated with the Court Hierarchy. There is also a lot of content to understand and retain. Despite this, I think given her previous SAC results, she was just not completely focused on todays lesson. This is completely understandable and as long as this does not continue to occur - it should be all ok.

We will need to continue to motivate and encourage Demi to study independently more and try to engage with the content before she and I have a lesson. We can do this through myself setting tasks for her to complete for me in order for her to retain her knowledge and apply it well. Additionally, given her results for her previous SAC, it is pertinent that we focus on also answering more and more diverse SAC questions so that she is fully prepared to answer all and any question that she may be posed to.
