What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love building a sincere connection with a student on the basis of the subject matter; being able to help them find ways to be passionate about the material they're studying. It's always really enjoyable to see the work go from a chore to something of genuine interest to the student. Furthermore, witnessing the work of the student paying off in the final results is always really satisfying as a tutor.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I know how to communicate clearly and efficiently. I can assist in converting what might seem to be complex material into comprehensible information for the student; increasing the depth of their knowledge. In this vein, I have a strong sense of patience and empathy for students who might be struggling with the material. As I have been there myself, I understand how aspects of both mathematics and english alike can be challenging, and therefore understand how to help the student move forward. Lastly, I specialise in helping students set incremental and achievable goals during their journey.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

First and foremost, I would argue that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide motivation and encouragement; cultivating the student's desire to learn and succeed. If this is achieved, academic success simply becomes a by-product. Secondly, a tutor must act as a resource that complements learning within a school environment. They shouldn't conflict with a school program or teacher, but aid them and help the student come to school confident and ready to progress. Finally, in a practical sense, the tutor must know how to clearly communicate material to a student.
