What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the 'ahh' moments when a student understands a concept they have been struggling. It is enjoying and rewarding to see a student finally comprehend a subject and then be able to complete problems and questions without assistance.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths lie in being able to prompt students to think of the answers themselves. I usually will give students an example of how to solve a similar question, then try and allow them to solve their problem on their own, with prompts and steps which can assist them in reaching the answer. I think this is essential to allow them to understand the problem solving process more thoroughly.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing is giving students learning and study strategies which they can apply across different subjects and learning areas. I believe this is the most useful information you can teach a student as this knowledge is what will allow them to become an independent learner, improve their academic marks across the board, and also build transferable skills that they can apply to other areas of life in the future. This includes topics such as note taking, extracting information from a question, problem solving approaches and more.
