What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The purpose of tutoring someone is to guide someone onto the right road, as well as to avoid mistakes that you might have made whilst learning these difficult subjects. For me, I enjoy seeing my students light up with happiness upon finally understanding someone thoroughly instead of memorising it or seeing them avoid some of the mistakes I may have made whilst I learnt the same courses.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I would consider myself someone who is flexible and adaptive. Having helped people in different age groups and of different academic standards, I realized that often there is only a small difference between those who excel at a subject and people who are only 'good' or average at it. It comes from the fundamental understanding of the subjects, whether or not you have taken the time and took the right road to think about the underlying reasons between certain phenomena. My strength is of that to guide my students to understand the reasons behind events, to go deeper than simply memorization.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
For a student, the worst thing a tutor can do is to strike fear into them about their progress or their work. I consider a tutor's job to support the student in every way: academically, physically, and psychologically. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide them with realistic hopes: to stand from our perspectives and give them the confidence and ability to face a subject.
