What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to help others to achieve their best potential by guiding them through new and challenging processes. I enjoy watching people achieve and learn things that they never thought they could do, and gain a new found confidence through this.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As I have been a disability support worker for over a year I have worked with a diverse range of people. I am able to communicate in many ways using my verbal, non verbal and written communication skills. I have experience working with people that range from physical disabilities, to intellectual disabilities and those with brain impairments. Therefore, my ability to work with a range of people is my greatest strength. I also have a strong passion for certain subjects, such as history and love learning and teaching others about it. That makes me eager to learn and teach my students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is be there for their student, and understand the way that they learn. Understanding where their challenges are and where their strengths are. Understanding what teaching style and environment works for their student and adapting their sessions to suit. It is also important to not judge them based on their inabilities but rather focus of what they can do and what they have potential to do. Being a listener and seeking to understand their student is the best thing a tutor can do.
