What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy knowing that I am sharing my experience and knowledge with other students who might benefit greatly from this insight. I think that teaching is also the best way to revise concepts and thus tutoring is a great way to keep in touch with the basics and rediscover the subject.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that there are several strengths of mine that would make me a great tutor. Firstly, I am super enthusiastic about the subjects I teach. All of the subjects selected above are ones that I greatly enjoyed in school. Thus I think that I would try to make learning the concepts of the subjects enjoyable and interesting for the students. Furthermore, I am patient and
I think that is a very important quality to have as a tutor since not everyone learns at the same pace. Thus I will be able to go over material more than once if needed. I can also share my techniques for learning concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to truly understand them and their learning ways. For example, I am a visual learner and so I learn better using diagrams, colours and videos. But not everyone is a visual learner and so they might need other aids to help them learn concepts such as songs or textbooks. I think that its important that a tutor understand what will suit their student the best and adapt their teaching methods to them. Furthermore, the tutor must be patient and be willing to go over concepts until the student truly understands them.

She absolutely smashed today's lesson! She worked super hard on the creative and came up with amazing ideas to include. I am very happy with how it turned out. She also solved the worksheets with ease and even the parts she found challenging she was keen to work on! : )
Like last time I would say that she needs to answer more questions in her creative writing. Today I could see her trying to do that so thats great to see!
She retained last weeks content super well and I was very pleased with her performance on the short quiz.

She needs to be more imaginative in terms of writing. I keep trying to tell her to answer questions to improve her writing such as "how did that happen?", "who was there?", "Why did that happen?" "what did you do?". I think once she starts taking these things into account her writing will improve a lot.
She was engaged in learning and figured out most of her spelling mistakes herself.

She needs to focus during the lesson and try to remember what I'm teaching her. When I quizzed her at the end of the lesson, she had forgotten everything. Maybe revising the content that we cover during the lesson will help her.
She is doing really well with her spelling and I am very happy to see the improvement.

She needs to revise the content we go through every week. She seems to forget what we did in the previous week which takes a bit of time out of the current session because I have to explain it again.
