What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing I enjoy most about working with students is seeing them progress. When they can't understand a new concept or question and then it clicks for them, it is rewarding knowing that you helped and guided them through to that answer.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm very personable and can relate to young people well. I'm very patient and feel that I've got strong communication skills which have been developed throughout my previous study and employment. I feel as though I have a calming influence over people which can help reduce any anxiety and pressure students may be feeling towards their maths.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a tutor, providing students with a positive and productive environment to develop their skills and knowledge within Maths is essential for student development. The tutor needs to be someone a student can ask questions of when they're unsure about how to proceed and additionally, tutors need to be able to provide targeted and necessary feedback to students in a way that is constructive and in a way that they can understand where they need to improve for next time. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, helping students understand this can build confidence for future learning.
