What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The look on their faces when they are able to achieve something. There were two children that I was really focused on at kindergarten. One was autistic and the other barely spoke. But what made me happy was the changes the went through those 8 months that I taught them. They started talking and laughing more, were able to memorize certain things, started writing letters on the dotted lines, etc.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My ability to understand students. Not every child is the same, and we cannot cater to a mass number of students using just one method as some have learning disabilities, like autism or ADHD. And my strength is being able to identify it and going along with teaching methods that make the student feel relaxed and happy instead of it being a chore. I'm extremely patient and my main aim is making them feel normal through different teaching methods as not being able to understand the theory and not getting good grades is not the end of the world.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Always being understanding and patient. There are a lot of things that can make a student feel low and not special and as a tutor, we need to play to their strengths instead of the majority. Take mental health issues, disabilities, current family background into consideration and make learning a thing that they can enjoy.
