I enjoy working with students one on one and building a working relationship with them. I also enjoy seeing them grow and develop their knowledge as I assist them to become more independent learners and be confident, curious and motivated to learn more about a subject they previously may not have liked and had difficulty with.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm a great listener and I like to truly get to know students, their prior knowledge, learning style, what motivates them and finding out what is causing them to have difficulty and then working on overcoming that difficulty with them. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to build their confidence to be an independent learner. I want students to gradually build their skills and knowledge to not feel like they need assistance all of the time or that they just can't do it. I see tutoring as also being a coaching or mentoring role as well as your not just delivering them content but helping them to learn how to learn and have the tools and strategies to attempt things on their own over time.
