Helping students with continuous issues in certain subjects understand that not being able to do things right now doesn't mean they won't be able to do things in the future and helping the student to achieve their goals. Understanding things from the point of view of the student is also a key part as without being able to do that you cannot understand potentially where they are being caught up in the scheme of things.
