What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My absolute favourite thing about tutoring is reaching the moment of understanding with the student, which happens on the student’s terms and results from engaging with the topic of study in such a way as to make the most of the student’s logic and imagination. This lets me know that the knowledge that needs to be imparted has truly sunk in deep and that way I know the student not only has the knowledge and logic foundation to rely on but they also have increased confidence in their own abilities moving forward.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths as a tutor are my ability to communicate, and willingness to communicate on the students terms, with interactions tailored to the student to make them comfortable enough to be vulnerable about what they do not know or understand. I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is make an honest effort to listen to the student as they relate their experience to their studies. Listening critically can teach a teacher/tutor/mentor lot about a student/mentee: the manner in which they communicate and feel most comfortable receiving communication. It allows the student to feel in control and as a partner in the process. Listening can also give one as a teacher/tutor/mentor a source of learning as well as it allows one to better gauges he effective one’s teaching methods, allowing for better tailored study lessons.Subjects Tutored 🎓
