I really love the relationship you can build with your students. I also really enjoy the tranquil and judgement-free atmosphere that is created, which introduces no fear to make mistakes, therefore growth.

I am a very calm, patient and positive person. I always try to make my students feel at ease and free to express. I make sure I explain the concepts clearly, reiterating them if necessary in a different way. I am able to change my explanation strategies and differentiate my lessons to address my student's learning needs. I make sure communication is effective with both students and parents.

A successful tutor can make learning real, relevant and rigorous. Tutors are experts in their academic content: they know the subject's concepts, ideas and problems inside out. They can discuss and introduce the rigor of real-life applications, which become more relevant as provide opportunities for real and hands-on work. So, students can actually care more about what they are learning. Tutors who make learning rigorous - challenging enough, but not so tough that students get frustrated and stop trying - show visible growth in their students' progress.
