What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring is very rewarding because it allows me to help make a subject like maths more accessible for students. I enjoy seeing the passion, interest and curiosity of students grow while tutoring. When a student makes progress and overcomes learning barriers, the sense of achievement they feel is also felt by their tutor. Every student is different and I enjoy this challenge.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my main strengths as a tutor is being sensitive to the individual needs of students. I am able to recognise areas of confusion and provide a clear and concise explanation that addresses the student's question. As a tutor, I am friendly, approachable and encouraging of my students. As well as my in-depth understanding of mathematics content, I can handle a challenge and am very comfortable managing several issues at once.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe instilling a love of learning in your student is important for a tutor. This involves giving positive feedback and instilling confidence in your student. From my experience, a student will progress more if they understand the content being taught, rather than memorising the right answer. It is important for tutors to be patient. I try to give students the opportunity to solve problems for themselves and learn to think critically. Overall, a tutor is responsible for creating a productive learning environment to help students overcome their difficulties.
