What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring because of the endless things I have learnt from teaching students, as well as from the students themselves. Approaching problems from their perspective have taught me to be very open minded and flexible in my thinking. It is a constant leaning experience for me and it has made my approach to my studies and my life better.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

-I have a deep understanding of the subjects I tutor and hence I am able to be flexible in my teaching and approach. -I am able to hear out my students about how they approach problems. -Motivation was an issue for me in high school. I feel I am able to relate well with students that are struggling with the same problem and support them through the process. -I push heavily for understanding over memorising. Especially with maths, I believe understanding concepts will take a student much further than remembering how to solve certain problems.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

From my tutoring experience, I understand that many students are not necessarily incapable of doing maths - they just may be struggling to fit the mould of the teaching system or their approach to problems differ greatly to their teachers'. I believe it is extremely important to understand each student's process of thinking and how they can adapt to do well in VCE maths or high school maths.
