Being empathetic and building rapport is a must, and I'm particularly gifted in doing so. I'm particularly good at assessing students' weaknesses and strengths. Once recognised, I work on the weaknesses by finding learning strategies that suit their learning style. I would show them how they learn best (activation of meta-cognitive skills) and to use self-regulation learning strategies, so they rely on me as a tutor but also learn to know themselves as learners and become independent and self-confident.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
