What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping people to learn about their topics, and I have a particular passion for mathematics. I find athematic to be more than just a subject - I get a great degree of satisfaction when seeing the look on students' faces when they finally grasp a concept, either difficult or easy and when they piece it all together.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I like to guide the students to unravel the information for themselves, I try to lead them on a path and allow them to solve it for themselves. Whilst they may not fully understand straight away, I may intervene and make them question what they are doing. If they go wrong I will try to lead them on the right path by asking them how they came to the conclusion that they did, and then I would try to show them where they erred and how they can remedy it.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor has to be understanding and respectful to the student that they are teaching, they need to realise that these individuals don't have the same level of knowledge as them at the time, so they need time to learn and understand difficult concepts and that require more explanation. The key is to build a strong healthy and friendly relationship between the tutor and student, there should not be superior and inferior parties. The also must make sure that the student fully grasps the concept, and must devote their time and effort to support the student in achieving their goal.
