What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy utilising the skills that I have previously acquired to the best of my advantage by helping others that may need assistance. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when I am able to grow my knowledge while concurrently advancing theirs. Since Mathematics is a subject where I may not frequently be able to collaborate with others, tutoring provides me the interactive aspect of education which I think is fundamental for learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having recently gone through higher level maths education, I understand its difficulty and can provide some tips that helped me understand the concepts involved. I feel like I'm friendly, easy to talk to and get along with. From personal experience, I understand that the best tutors are able to relate to their students; tutors and students should be on the same level. Thus I can help students without passing any judgement whatsoever.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

While a vast knowledge in a certain subject is clearly salient in being able to assist others, I believe that there is more to tutoring than that. Building a tutor-student relationship involving patience and understanding is important to me because the student should feel like there is a mutual respect between us. I also believe that a tutor should be able to provide an individual a new perspective on a subject that they may be struggling with. Everyone learns in different ways- whether it's listening, visual, kinaesthetic, a tutor should be able to adapt to various learning styles.
