What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Students have different learning styles and all students have different rates of development. I enjoy designing a tutoring plan/programs that are differentiated to cater for individual learning styles and rates of development with students (and if possible with the parent/guardian). However, the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is the planning of sessions that take into account students' needs interests and learning styles, whilst setting achievable challenges so they are motivated to succeed and improve. Witnessing their success from my help is also rewarding personally.

Creating a safe, conducive to learning environment, free of stereotyped expectations & harassment. Also establishing a responsive relationship marked by mutual respect & professionalism. Employing a variety of effective teaching strategies to successfully improve students performance with subject curriculum by promoting dynamic, active & genuine learning. Having an outstanding knowledge of Course Syllabus and directions. Assist students to achieve short term goals and develop long term goals with their learning by creating a 'culture' in the student of personal achievement.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Keep up to date with Curriculum and resource development and maintain technology competencies. Encourage a positive sense of self worth, modelling practices such as listening, life long learning, compassion, enthusiasm and care. Be sensitive to students experiencing personal, social or organisational problems. Integrate learning experiences with frequent opportunities for praise and constructive feedback and opportunities for self assessment.
