What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I truly loved teaching high school students, and it usually thrilled me to see my students have so much fun in my classes. We laughed a lot, which I think is important, because when students are enjoying themselves in the learning process, it makes it so much easier to learn. That is why I feel it is so important to build an easy rapport with students in the beginning, making the student feel at ease, and comfortable, putting the student in a position in which he or she feels comfortable asking questions.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

One of my strengths, however, is that I am constantly reflecting on my practice and looking for ways to improve. I am self-aware and able to create a genuine connection with my students. And I know how to use technology to create an engaging and effective learning environment. I am not only passionate about teaching, but also about learning. Patience is my biggest strength as a teaching assistant

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Successful tutors build strong, personal relationships with their students. Successful tutors have specific content expertise. The best tutors and educators remember the importance of being lifelong learners. Even expert tutors can always improve! Tutors, think of goals for yourself -- create key performance indicators (KPIs) that you can measure on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. How often are you checking in with parents and teachers? How often are you checking on goals with your students? How do you measure student growth and progress?
