What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Showing the students the reasoning behind a certain mathematical topic. I mean the way given formula or procedure was discovered, and also the application that this can have to their lives. In other words, showing them why they should care about this.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I think I do a good job of laying a strong foundation on the students mind when it comes to the theory behind any given formula. I try to make it clear that formulas aren't magic, that there's a reason behind every one of them. I am also able to help students effectively prepare por examinations by simulating a test-like environment. In my experience this can greatly impact a student's level of confidence in an actual exam.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Honestly, I think that helping students understand the applications, importance and reasoning behind any mathematical topic is the best thing one can do for them. I belive that only then may students that hate mathematics start to appreciate it. I also believe that student's perception of their mathematical competence greaty impacts their performance and their estimation of their own intelligence. Therefore it is vital to have tutors reasure their students.
