What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

My greatest passion in life is teaching. I was born and raised in Kenya, and experienced great success at school and at university due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. It used to bring me joy to see the students improve. Be patient and understand if the students are having issues in a particular part so that we can stress it enough for improvement.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My passion for maths that made me pick up engineering as a career makes me want to share my knowledge to reciprocate and make other people want it like I do. As a tutor I would build strong, personal relationships with the students that will truly personalise the learning, incorporate connections to the student's interests, teach to the student's strength and minimise the student's weaknesses. I also co-create individualised learning plans with my students, in collaboration with parents and teachers, to leverage insight from key adults in students' lives and map a better plan for success and accountability.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Some of the most important things are: 1. The student will receive an individualised learning experience he or she can’t always get in a classroom setting. I can customise the lessons and activities just for your child. 2. I get to know your child’s individual learning style and can adapt teaching methods accordingly. 3.I will prepare your child for tests and exams, while I work with your child on specific problem areas. Your child’s grades and understanding of the subject will significantly improve when working with me. 4. Learning will become fun for your child. With constant encouragement and praise, your child will no longer feel overwhelmed or frustrated with school. 5. At school, your child may not always feel comfortable asking questions in front of his or her peers. I will help teach your child to be comfortable asking questions, big or small, without feeling self-conscious.
