What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring because it's a very rewarding job that is flexible and not monotonous. And because I tutor subjects I had enjoyed back when I was in high school, I also enjoy teaching students about it too!

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strength as a tutor is my flexibility and my ability to communicate with my students in a way that will resonate with them. I realise that everyone learns differently and I seek and implement the best way my student will learn. This can mean using flashcards, Kahoot, pop quizzes, exam questions or just reviewing content.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen. A tutor's job is not to just teach the student, but to bring out the best of the student and a tutor cannot do that unless they listen to the student. A good tutor is not a tutor that had achieved exceedingly well themselves, although that is a part of it- it's about their ability to teach the student in a way that they will learn.
