What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I most enjoy about tutoring is seeing genuine improvement in the students with my own eyes. I find this very satisfying as a tutor. I also enjoy establishing a strong relationship with the student, as you get to know more about the student and their personality. Furthermore, tutoring can help deepen my understanding of the Mathematics course, which can help me become a better tutor in the long run.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor involve my strong communication skills which ensures the content is delivered in a clear manner and the students' understanding is deepened. Another strength I possess as a tutor is my very solid understanding of the Mathematics Extension 1 & 2 Courses having just completed both courses this year. This means that I will be able to communicate the content in an effective manner, with the content still fresh in my mind. I also have excellent interpersonal skills meaning that I can develop a strong relationship with the student, a vital aspect of successful tutoring.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student involves identifying and fixing areas of weakness for the student. Another important thing a tutor should do is explain the content in a clear and confident manner so that students actually understand the content that is being taught. I also believe a tutor should not provide the answer to a question straightaway, but instead they should help the student reach the solution by themselves, and only provide assistance if necessary.
