What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

The reason I began tutoring was because tutoring had helped me get through the toughest years of high school where I felt as if I was falling behind all my classmates. Going to tutoring at CS Education and James An greatly helped, particularly in Extension Mathematics which allowed me to lift my grades and made me feel as if I had support all the way to the HSC. For this reason I became a tutor at those two institutes to return the favor. Being able to help students get through the tough times and seeing them learn and grow is the greatest gift.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

As I had struggled through a part of high school, I believe I understand what aspects of certain topics may be difficult to most due to personal experience and have developed many tips and tricks to get around and remember those concepts. My knowledge coupled alongside my strong interpersonal communication skills, allows me to teach to the best of my ability, creating a welcoming environment to nurture development. I am currently working in the finance field and thus believe mathematics is my strong suite and am able to convey complex mathematical conceps in a simpler manner.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

Open communication is essential is to make sure the student understands that mistakes can be learned from and should not be a frustration, this can be done by providing appropriate support especially for more complex concepts by ensuring that the student thoroughly understands how to approach the question. Ensuring the student actually understands the idea rather than simply agreeing is essential which I mostly carry out through open friendly communication.
