I remember an old friend of mine back in Year 10, complaining that he didn't "get" index laws. After making fun of him (bit of banter), I asked if he seriously needed help or if this was another one of his classic nagging sessions. When he said yes, we sat down after school in the common room, and stayed there until 6 pm. He kept complaining that he wanted to go home, but I kept him there and made sure he fully understood everything.
