What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing those “lightbulb moments” when a student finally grasps a concept they’ve been struggling with. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch students build confidence over time and begin to believe in their own abilities. I also love creating a fun and engaging learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to ask questions.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My greatest strength as a tutor is my ability to connect with students in a way that makes learning feel comfortable and enjoyable. I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely interested in helping students grow in confidence and understanding. I tailor each session to the student's individual needs and learning style, and I’m always organised and prepared. My background in coaching children in soccer also helps me communicate clearly and motivate young learners in a positive and encouraging way.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things I can do for a student are to listen, understand their unique learning needs, and provide consistent support. I believe in building a strong foundation of trust and communication, so students feel comfortable expressing their difficulties and proud of their progress. My goal is to not only help students succeed in school but also to help them enjoy the process of learning and gain skills they can carry with them beyond the classroom.

About Frederick

Background and Education

Hi! I’m Freddie, a 21-year-old from England currently living in Australia on a working holiday visa. I have a strong academic background and a real passion for helping others succeed in their studies—particularly in English, Maths, and Geography, which I enjoyed and excelled at throughout school. I’ve always found learning rewarding and love making it enjoyable and accessible for others too.

Work and Coaching Experience

Alongside tutoring, I currently work in a busy café in Australia and coach children’s soccer. These roles have taught me a lot about communication, patience, and working well with others—especially young people. Coaching has helped me develop the ability to explain things clearly, motivate kids positively, and make learning or training something they look forward to.

Personal Interests and Qualities

Outside of work, I love staying active. I go to the gym regularly and I’m really passionate about soccer—whether I’m coaching, playing, or watching it! I also enjoy exploring new places and making the most of my time here in Australia. I’d describe myself as friendly, reliable, and highly organised, and I always aim to bring a positive energy to every tutoring session. I’m excited to help students build confidence and reach their full potential in a way that’s engaging, supportive, and tailored to their needs.
