What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the eureka moment when students understand a hard concept; usually it is a moment only shared by students; however, I too feel a sense of accomplishment on it. Not only that, as a student myself, I used to keep thinking I wish my teacher taught me like this or that, or in a particular way, so I incorporate whatever I feel I lacked as a student into my teaching methods, which again makes me feel accomplished. It's the feeling of accomplishment and curiosity, knowing that one day, one of them might become world-renowned in a subject where I may have ignited their first spark.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Tutoring is not just preparing a student for one exam; it's making them like and love the subject. This is something I had practiced and done throughout my school, where I had taken informal sessions for my classmates in math and physics, and all of them managed to get good grades for our finals. As a tutor I'm really patient; I believe the more questions you ask the more you are likely to retain and understand a concept. I also understand each student prefers a different learning method and am always ready to adapt, and I believe I have in-depth knowledge in the subjects I have listed above.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It's to listen, to understand where exactly their problem lies, to undo that annoying knot, because that one underlying doubt will continuously occupy the student's head and will take away their focus from the rest of the concepts in that same topic. I believe its also important to have a positive attitude, which will encourage students to ask more questions to clear and broaden their understanding of the topic and encourage them to like the subject.
